Author David C. Ling is the William D. Hussey Professor of Real Estate and the Director of the Real Estate Research Center in the Warrington College of Business Adminstration and Graduate School of Business at the University of Florida. He has an extensive list of credentials as an author, including: • Serves on editorial boards for The Journal of Real Estate Research, the Journal of Housing Economics, Real Estate Economics, and Real Estate Finance. • Co-authored several books, including Real Estate Principles: A Value Approach 3rd Edition and is a co-author of Real Estate Perspectives: An Introduction to Real Estate His academic credentials include a Ph.D. from Ohio State University (1984), an MBA from Ohio State University (1977), and a B.S.B.A., from Central Michigan University (1976). Other credentials, awards, and honors include: • Co-editor of Real Estate Economics for a six-year term • Elected and served as President of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA) • Provided research and consulting services to organizations including the Federal National Mortgage Association, the National Association of Home Builders, the National Association of Realtors, and the Florida Association of Realtors. • Ling was awarded the David Ricardo Medal by the American Real Estate Society (2010) • Elected 2000 President of The American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association • Elected M.B.A. Teacher of the Year ( 2010, 2005, 1995,and 1992) • Faculty Research Excellence Award (1989), Edwin L.
