Author and Professor Marianne M. Jennings serves as a member of the Department of Management at Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business. She teaches business ethics and courses on the legal environment of business for the Arizona State MBA program. She is highly experienced, and is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and eleven other professional organizations.
Jennings was previously the director of the Joan and David Lincoln Center for Applied Ethics (1995-1999), and was the faculty director of the MBA Executive program (2006-2007). Her other work experience includes:
• Consulting for major businesses, professional groups, and law firms including: Boeing, Dial Corporation, Motorola, Mattel, AES, CFA Institute, Southern California Edison, the City of Phoenix, the City of Tucson, the City of Mesa, the Arizona Auditor General, Coca-Cola, DuPont, Pepsi, Hy-Vee Foods, Amgen, Bell Helicopter, IBM, Raytheon, and VIAD.
• Governor Bruce Babbitt’s appointee to the Arizona Corporation Commission (1984-1985)
• Governor Jane Dee Hull’s appointee to the Arizona Commission on Character (1999)
• Associate Dean in the College of Business (1986-1988)
• Arizona State University faculty athletic representative to the PAC-1- and NCAA (1986-1987)

Jennings is highly decorated as a writer, teacher, and scholar. Her awards and honors include:
• Arizona Press Club award (1994) for work as feature columnist
• The College of Business professor of the year (1981, 1987, 2000, and 2010)
• Burlington Northern teaching excellence award (1985)
• Academy of Legal Studies in Business and Association for Government Accountants best article awards
• Auditors and Association of Governemtn Accountats best article awards (2001, 2004)
• Dean’s Council of 100 Distinguished Scholars (1995-present)
• Speaker’s Hall of Fame inductee by the Association of Government Accountants (2000)
• Institue of Internal Auditors All-Star Speaker (2005)
• Her article “Ethics and Investment Management: True Reform” was on Emerald Management Review’s list of the top 50 articles from 2005.
She has also conducted over 300 workshops and seminars on a wide variety of topics, including business, government, legal, academic, and professional ethics.
She married Terry H. Jennings in 1976, and they have five children. Terry works for the Maricopa County Attorney’s office.
