William Brueggeman is an expert educator, consultant, and author in the real estate industry. He holds a B.S. (with honors) from the University of New Orleans (1964), an M.B.A. (with honors) from Loyola University (1966), and a Ph.D. (with honors) from The Ohio State University (1970). He teaches corporate finance, real estate finance, and real estate and urban land economics at the undergraduate level. He also teaches economic analysis, real estate and advanced corporate finance, real estate finance and urban land development, and a seminar on real estate and urban land economics at the graduate level. He has been on a wide variety of university committees, and has served both The Ohio State University and SMU in various capacities. Brueggeman has also worked as a consultant for the U.S. General Accounting Office, the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, the U.S. League of Savings Institutions, The Urban Institute in Washington D.C., Goldman, Sachs & Co., and many other companies and government institutions. He is the author of three books, all in or past their 10th editions, and has written many published articles, monographs, papers, and more. He made an appearance at the Urban Land Institute’s Leadership Conference in 1999, and has served on the editorial board as a reviewer for many industry publications, including the Journal of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association, Journal of Finance, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, and more.
